Congratulations, if you haven't felt any xmas pressure building up yet. This weekend the town offers a great opportunity to get more than a glimpse of an impression. People getting stressed I feel ... 

100-meter-queuing is not a new olympic discipline, but what people do to get parcels posted in time. Apparently the cut-off time was the postal service collection at mid day.  Congratulations if you managed to stay at home, or send your cards when you were advised to by this very Kalender-authority.

Congratulations also if you manage to reduce wrappers this year. After yesterdays video-clip-post I decided to struggle exercising the old-school technique – simply folding paper and using a twine to hold it together. I had practiced it without adhesive tape as a kid (and mastered it). That was not before the invention of Tesa film, Scotch- or Selo-tape but simply a way to be resourcesful.  And will you believe it we reused the paper too ; ) Packing without adhesive now ? very very difficult one could think, but dexterity and skill come back, asa one is AFK and stops the clickety-click

 Congratulation also if your birthday is today, and not on the 24th like Doctor Anthony Fauci, Lemmy "Motörhead"Kilmister,  Weather-forcast Nostradamus,  Will "Bonnie Prince Billie"Oldham, or Brian "not the Messiah" Jesus. We will be celebrating one today, and take a walk across the Downs, re-oxygening the brain.

Oh - and since there is not really much "spare" time today, here a very short version of Feliz Navidad, Mia found it. It is by one of our family heros, the German comedian-jazz-entertainer-clown Helge Schneider. 

It is only a question of centuries til his break through into the english-speaking market. The Firef••kers did not work for him.

Gratulation wenn du noch keinen weihnachst-stress hattest. Dies wochenende hat man echt gute chancen sich einen eindruck in der stadt zu holen. 100-Meter-Schlange ist keine neue olympische disziplin, aber was leute in kauf nehmen um ihre weihnachstpost auf dem weg zu sehen. Stichzeit war wohl gestern mittag. Gratulation wenn du deine post schon weg hast, und besonders dann als die Adwendts-Kalender kommission es dir geraten hat.

Gratulation ebenso wenn es dir gelungen ist den verpackungsberg zu reduzieren. Nach dem gestrigen clip, hab ich mich entschlossen den Old-school Style etwas aufzufrischen, und an meiner technique zu arbeiten. Als kinder haben das ja auch geübt, gelernt und gemeistert. Das war zwar nicht vor der erfindung des Klebebandes a la Tesa oder Scotch, aber damals schon fortschrittlich nachhaltig, und resourceful. Wir haben ja sogar Papier wieder verwendet, (oder bilde ich mir das nur ein ?)

Einpacken ohne Klebeband ? Seehhhr schwierig, dankt man. Aber die dexterity in den Fingerspitzen kommt zurück, wenn man mal keyboard-mouse-clickety-click-pause macht.

Gratulation auch wenn heut dein geburtstag ist, und nicht am 24. Description of Baby Jesus in Song (Silent Night): " Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar " = " Blessed boy in curly hair " and most depictions presume a fair haired caucasian new born, like the one pictured above. But considering the geographic location of the story of Jesus' birth, it is very likely that his complexion was not caucasian/white, yet depictions of the baby Jesus being black or any other colour than white are a rare find though these exist.  [ 6 ]    Sunday was a nice get together, in literally 'dark times' the Cello played, people sang and crazy tunes from the jukebox in between . . .  two short clips here:  one captured at rehearsal/soundcheck and set up:   the other later in the evening: But today's calendar treat for you is actually : "Leonard at the Thomas Organ", with a misbegotten attempt to glom onto the success of the Chipmunks NOT the chipmunks again !      One has to slow down this record  to figure out all of what was being sung,  ...     Your browser does not support the audio element. whoever is doing the sped-up vocal goes completely unacknowledged on the record's label. Unfortunately, no one told the performers or producers of this record that if you're going to record at half-speed for comical effect, you have to enunciate extremely clearly, nor did they learn that whatever you're singing while doing that enunciation needs to be...
